  Palappam(Vellappam) « Back

Method of Preparation:

  1. Make a porridge with 2 tablespoon(25g) of this palappampodi and sugar to taste with 2 glasses(400 ml) of  water and allow it to cool.
  2. Extract the milk from 1/2 to 1 coconut (depending on size) and add water to get 3 glasses(600 ml) of coconut milk.
  3. Mix Devon Palappampodi with the cool porridge, add salt to taste and knead well to make the dough.
  4. Now add the coconut milk to the dough to get a thin batter.
  5. After the batter rises(in about 90 minutes)you can make excellent Palappam.

    Use a non sticky Thava if you have.
